So I was reading up on the next iteration of HTML, and ran across the "dead" tags section.

I see them labeled "obsolete" and "archaic."
I still like <center>!

I tried to do something recently, and attempted to use css to align something, but it just didn't want to work. <center> worked like a charm, however! :\

I can't believe that people still use <center>

I had to learn to develop web-applications for my job two years ago. I obviously had the advantage of not having to unlearn things, but I was amazed after learning CSS (and come on, it's not that fucking hard, even with IE's quirks) that people still insist on using deprecated HTML when CSS does that job so much better. And I wasn't making simple sites, I was developing complicated biometric integrated corporate solutions for Polaroid You try integrating a fingerprint scanner with a website and then get back to me about hard

And to horizontally align things, it's really simple Just set "margin-left" and "margin-right" to "auto". Vertical alignment is slightly trickier, but still very doable.
